" DE LA FELICIDAD Y TODO ESO "
LIBROTERAPIA
  By Jorge Aravena Abasolo
TITLE: Of Happiness and all that
Author: Fernando Villegas

EDITORIAL: South American, 265 pages

Sigmund Freud noted in his book "The discomfort of culture" the impossibility of human happiness. And he wondered, "What goals and purposes of life expressed by men in their own conduct, what they expect from life, what they intend to achieve it?". He added: "It is difficult to mistake the answer: they aspire to happiness, they want to be happy, do not want to stop being".
A recent survey carried out in Chile on the theme of Happiness showed surprising results. For Chile the keys to happiness go through health, education, self esteem, and family income.
Although the majority of respondents considered happy-concept was limited to one point, state or stage of life-peers doubt that this is the constant of the Chilean people. Rather, they feel part of a privileged elite, leading them to wonder how you can be happy with the pressures of the modern world, job insecurity and crime.
In "Happiness and all that," the author reviews the basic conditions to reach a state of fullness, which can decried as Happiness. Stresses that it is best not wishful thinking because in the destination station (target), we expect little, compared to the original expectation. And then wonder why at least not during the trip fun wishful thinking? However, it must be remembered, says the author hopes that by having paid a price. And the price is not cheap. Usually charged with usury.
If we find a universal answer to happiness-difficult-task rather than venture to say that it is a state of mind that has to do with the serenity, to the achievement of objectives, aspirations and the end of frustrations.
Perhaps this sense can identify many, but never all.
He castigates the camouflage of Happiness. And there are those who relate to job satisfaction. Thus, a man or woman who does not have a full schedule of activities, appointments, meetings or working lunches, is a poor bird, a failure or an outcast.
The book excited, capture, and is seasoned with drops that as caustic humor that characterizes the author.
Villegas gives us a miniature series of tests ranging from how to get pee respite and solace to how to survive the endless wheel of consumption and profit.
A necessary book ... and even inciting.
